Minister Kodheli held official meetings with Military Attachés of four NATO countries accredited in our country

The Defence Minister, Ms. Mimi Kodheli hosted today in special meetings the Military Attaché of Greece, Italy, Romania and the Czech Republic.

Initially, Minister Kodheli hosted in a courtesy meeting the newly accredited Greek Military Attaché Colonel Christos Bakirtzis, and Colonel Sotirios Polyzos the departing one.

Later, the Minister of Defense held a meeting with the new Military Attaché of the Republic of Italy, Colonel Fabio Cornacchia, who was accompanied by Ms. Nicoletta Piccirillo, Counselor at the Italian Embassy.

Also today, Ms. Kodheli held a farewell meeting with Romanian Military Attaché Col. Laurentiu Rusan, as well as, hosted the new Military Attaché of the Czech Republic, Lieutenant Colonel Zbynek Olsak.

In these meetings, the talks focused on bilateral co-operation in the field of defense, the situation in the region, and the role Albania plays as a factor of stability and a worthy member of NATO.

Minister Kodheli welcomed the opening of the Czech Military Attaché Office in our country, which will serve to further strengthen the relations and cooperation between the two countries.
