No minister of any political force has ever been seen in Selica village after the '90s. Residents of the remotest village of Burrel, with the most urgent demands, such as the road that connects them with the rest of the country, welcomed Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka, who gave them the news of road construction.

The village residents while thanking the Minister for the interest shown for the problems of Selicë village expressed their gratitude for the attention given to them.

"Today I walked myself on the road you and your children walk everyday and I saw what a great sacrifice you have made for years to come to a health center or to connect with the rest of Albania. Believe me for one thing, it's not a political issue. I did not come here urged by the fact that this is a community that votes for the left wing or because it voted Socialist Party (SP). I came here because this is a community that deserves to be served whether left or right. True, the Socialist Party is in power today, but the SP governs with the same standard, both those who are left oriented and those who are right oriented. All have families, have children, all deserve to live with dignity, deserve to raise their children, deserve to have bread on the table and we fully respect this. It is very important to understand that it is not a functional duty of the Armed Forces to do these things, but it is our utmost desire, it is the maximum commitment of the Armed Forces to be close to the community when the others cannot. We will do this in every corner of Albania every month of the year," - said Minister Xhaçka.

The road that connects the village of Selica with the rest of the Dibra District and that helps the inhabitants of the remote village to connect with the rest of the country is 4 kilometers long and is expected to be completed within a few weeks.

A few days ago, Minister Xhaçka inspected the operation for clearance of the hotspot of Selica (Burrel), where the work for cleaning the ammunition and explosive wastes, as well as for repairing the road that connects this hotspot with the city of Kruja and other parts is in progress.
