Defense Draft - Budget 2018, Xhaçka ensures the continuity of Defense Reform

Modernization of the Armed Forces, participation of the Republic of Albania in international missions and exercises inside and outside the country were some of the main points of the Defense Draft Budget for 2018, which was presented today by Minister Olta Xhaçka in the National Security Committee.

The Defense Draft - Budget in the following year has a significant increase compared to last year, the growth in Gross Domestic Product is estimated at 1,2% and according to Minister Xhaçka, this Draft - Budget meets the needs of the Armed Forces in fulfilling their mission.

During the Draft - Budget presentation, the Defense Minister confirmed that the Integrated Observation System for Marine Space (SIVHD) is fully operational and works without interruption. "The marine observation system is fully operational and in full operational readiness. The system is always running and military personnel works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to carry out the task efficiently." - said Minister Xhaçka, asking to not damage reputation of our military, whom she considers as devoted and self-sacrificing people.
Also, Minister Xhaçka answered to the questions of members of the National Security Commission regarding to the Defense Draft - Budget for 2018.
