Hundreds of residents of Muzhaka in Burrel and surrounding villages will not have problems on the daily commute especially during the winter season.

The Armed Forces completed the construction of a "bailey" bridge, which facilitates pupil mobility to the village school, as well as of residents to the city, to the health center and the offices of the administrative unit.

On the completion of bridge's construction also attended the country's Prime Minister Edi Rama, who was accompanied by Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka and Defense Deputy Minister Petro Koçi.

Minister Xhaçka appreciated the Armed Forces not only for the construction of this bridge and 5 others in the Dibra region, but also for their engagement in other areas of the country, as well as discharging any accusation against the Armed Forces.

“Thanks to the AF who did a tireless work in helping the community, silently and without making publicity. The only stain in the AF's uniform is that of their untiring work beside community. The bridge that we hand over today to 1200 residents of Muzhaka and the surrounding villages is a bridge that supports the community and 300 pupils of this area. This is one of the 9 bridges that we constructed in Dibra region thanks to this extraordinary work, making it more convenient for about 6 thousand residents from Peshkopia, Bulqiza, Mati and Klosi to go to schools and health centers.

Thousands of other residents in 39 other isolated and mountainous areas have the same opportunity thanks to AF ,where they have provided exceptional help in building “bailey” bridges like this, but also in arrangement and expansion of roads, where the potentials of local government have failed," - said Minister Xhaçka.

On his part, Prime Minister Edi Rama expressed his satisfaction for the facilitating of daily commute of the residents of this area, and appreciated the cooperation with the local government.

"I am very glad that we have released from this anxiety all those families, parents who did bring children to school, and I am very pleased that we have good cooperation with the municipalities of the area, with mayors, and is a great example of how to build bridges on the ground of hardships and sorrows, concerns, and hopes of people. When we are in Parliament we set fire to the cauldron. I'm with the bridges and not with the cauldrons. In addition I'm very glad we are here for a bridge, no matter what happens in Tirana. Eventually this is not everything we can do but this is only the beginning. We will continue to cooperate with local government, "said the Prime Minister.

The bridge built in Muzhaka village, the Administrative Unit of Komsi is 21 m long, the maximum weight the bridge can hold is 30 ton and it was built in cooperation with Mat Municipality
