Minister Xhaçka at the 1st Infantry Battalion in Vau i Dejës: Maximum commitment for better treatment and modernization

Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka, accompanied by Defense Deputy Minister Petro Koçi, paid a visit to the 1st Infantry Battalion in Vau i Dejes. Initially, Minister Xhaçka was acquainted with the work, achievements, but also with the problems of this Battalion by the Commander Lieutenant Colonel Ali Mali.

Later on, the Minister held a meeting with all the Battalion's staff, who congratulated them for their work and commitment, and assured them of the full attention of the Ministry of Defense to improve the working conditions and their treatment.

“We are maximally committed to meet all the issues you encounter in your daily work with regard to operability, readiness, training and your daily work, they are very important to us. I want to assure you there is a maximum engagement for better treatment, more modernization, better preparation; however, despite being informed by both the Commander but also from the Ministry staff, I would like to congratulate you for your preparation, for your work, especially in dealing with many emergencies, not only this time, but also a lot of other times when you were engaged", - said Minister Xhaçka congratulating the officials for their contribution in international missions where they have participated in the past.

“Of course, we are in peacetime, but we serve our homeland in difficult times, and these have been difficult days, but I also want to congratulate you for your contribution to peacekeeping missions. The Commander has informed me that some of you are in Herat (Afghanistan) and in Bosnia, so I just want to encourage you to work hard in fulfilling those tasks and objectives that are very important to the unit operability but not limited to, the AAF in general. On our part, I want to assure you that treatment, engagement and attention will be greater and greater as well as they will always be on the increase. You will get everything you deserve, for your work, for your commitment and for your difficulties.”

The 1st Infantry Battalion in Vau Dejës is one of the most important units of the Land Force, and holds the main burden during civil emergencies in the districts of Shkodra and Lezha.
