On the New Year's Eve, the Armed Forces Orchestra (OFFA) was awarded the "Medal of Gratitude" by the Municipality of Tirana. In the presence of dozens of art lovers and sympathizers, the Armed Forces Orchestra performed on the "Scanderbeg" Square the most famous parts.
Present at this event, the Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka thanked the OFFA and expressed her appreciation. "The medal of gratitude that is awarded to you today is an expression of gratitude and reverence, for which we as Armed Forces are absolutely very grateful. But you who are the face of the Army have long found the key to the hearts of all Albanians", - said Minister Xhaçka.
The Mayor of Tirana Erion Veliaj, expressed his gratitude to all the effectives in uniform: "In those days, as celebrating days in Tirana and throughout Albania, we recall that those who are in uniform, whether it's the uniform of the army, of the police, of the firefighters, or of the doctor, these celebrations and this harmony would not have been possible if we did not have the guarantee of those who serve", - said Veliaj.
OFFA was founded in October 1944 and for 73 years has served the Republic of Albania in a very special way, a service between rhythm and music.
