Celebrating with the families of the military in missions, Xhaçka: Proud for your parents

This weekend, 153 effectives of the Armed Forces will miss the celebration dinners with their families. But for some moments, the Albanian effectives engaged in international missions were close to their families on the eve of the holidays. On the festive meeting organized by the Ministry of Defense, they had the opportunity to see and communicate with their family members through live videos from the bases they serve.

Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka, considering the AF as a big family, said that this was precisely why she chose to celebrate with family members of effectives on missions abroad. 

"The desire was great for us to be close to the children as your big family, as well as the big family of those who are far away on a very noble mission to provide security beyond the borders of Albania. In fact, they are our little Albania, they are the best Albania, a part which we are endlessly proud, and I want you to feel, I want these children to feel proud for all their lives for their parents" - the Minister told the present family members.

"Impossible to have you here for the end of year celebrations, we are gathered to celebrate with your great family. And in your name I want to thank all the family members here for the endless support they give you in your mission as hard and noble as possible", said the Minister in communication with the effective.

There are currently 153 Armed Forces effectives who serves in NATO missions in Kabul, Herat of Afghanistan, Latvia, Kosovo and Mali. Most of them are away from the family for more than 3 months.
The party was also joined by the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Brigadier General Bardhyl Kollçaku and the commanders of the forces, part of which are the contingents participating in the international missions.

Families have spent precious hours with humor, games and gifts.
