Engineering unit of the Albanian Armed Forces and their colleagues from the Kosovo Security Force has begun work on the construction of a bailey bridge in the village of Zëmblak, the Pojan administrative unit in the Maliq municipality.
The construction of this bridge comes after the assistance provided by the Government of the Republic of Kosovo after the floods of December last year, which also caused damage to infrastructure.
The materials for the construction of the bridge have been donated by the Kosovo Security Force and are being assembled by junior specialists of the bridges of Albania and Kosovo bridges.
The bridge over the Devoll River has a length of 54 m and is an important node for the daily movement of not only thousands of villagers in the Pojan and Vreshtas administrative units but also of the Macedonian minority in the municipality of Pustec.
Also, the construction of the bridge will facilitate the movement of visitors to the Prespa lakes.
The bridge construction has started a few days and is expected to be completed very soon.
