Stoltenberg-Xhaçka meeting during NATO's ministerial, appreciated the Albaniain contribution to peacekeeping missions

Defence Minister Olta Xhaçka held a special meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg during the Meeting of Defence Ministers of NATO member countries held on 14 and 15 February in Brussels.
"I informed the Secretary General about Albania's commitment that within 2024, 2% of Gross Domestic Product will be dedicated to the field of defence, as well as reconfirmed to him the increase of our country's commitment to all NATO and EU missions and in the new national mission such as civil emergencies as well ", - said Minister Xhaçka after the meeting.
Mr. Stoltenberg praised Albania's commitment to meet the obligations undertaken within the defence budget framework. NATO Secretary General at the same time praised the human contribution of our country to peacekeeping missions, dedication and professionalism of our military.
NATO Defense Ministers meeting, which is taking place in Brussels these two days, is of particular importance as it precedes the preparatory meetings of the Summit of Presidents of the member states of the North Atlantic Alliance to be held in Brussels on 11 and 12 July.
