Floods in Shkodra, Xhaçka: Our priority is evacuation and coordination among structures

Today Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka, visited flooded areas in Shkodra. During her visit in the administrative units of Ana e Malit and Dajç, Minister Xhaçka emphasized the readiness of the Armed Forces to assist the inhabitants of these areas, which are in a difficult situation due to extreme weather:

"So far we have engaged about 550 military men, with dozens of high-pass vehicles, and motorbikes. Certainly, we will continue to be present these days to help residents until the end of this emergency situation.

One of the main priorities of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces is the displacement of residents and livestock. In this regard, Minister Xhacka said: "So far, we have been assisting with 90 tons of fodder for livestock and in the meantime there are about 300 tons more to arrive."

The Minister of Defense requested that state structures act responsibly and cooperate in this emergency situation because that is the only way to successfully accomplish this task.

In this inspection Minister Xhaçka was accompanied by Prefect Çesk Millja, General Director of Civil Emergencies, Shemsi Premçi and the MP Luan Harusha.
