In Shkodra we continue to be upstanding 24 hours non-stop since the first minute

Everywhere where water has paralyzed the lives of people, Obot, Dajç, Ana e Malit, Trush, Livadhë, Velipojë or Bushat, since March 5th, more than 600 people in uniform, hundreds from Civil Emergencies, Rapid Reaction and the Organization of Electric Power Distribution (OEPD) have been and continue to be close to every resident in difficulty.

Whoever says that the army does not know the terrain well, they have surely only stepped on those areas where they are deeply concerned for their militants.

For us, the inhabitants of Shkodra are citizens of Albania! So today and forever, beyond the divisive political and media slogans, they will be treated alike, in order that all of us can withstand the rage of nature that has brought us these difficult days.

So far, 26 families have been evacuated; 2 thousand people have been relieved of daily transportation; 2 500 heads of livestock were evacuated and supplied with fodder.

Along with residents, the Armed Forces have reinforced 650 meters of embankment at Pentar and Cas.

The Ministry of Defense and the State Reserves have distributed over 30,000 kg of food and detergents, 23,000 liters of water and more than 53,000 kg of fodder.

300 tons of fodder and hundreds of tons of water are expected to be distributed day after day. Food packages, beds, tents, blankets and boots for people in difficulties are distributed by the State Reserves.

We appeal to local government and local administrators, to get rid of speeches and empty propaganda of the day-to-day policy, and to take action to coordinate the distribution of all aids, based on the needs, indiscriminately, for all residents in the flooded areas.

The Armed Forces are working day and night for the distribution of aid, as planned by the Emergency Commission through the Prefecture and local structures.

Collaboration between armed forces, government institutions and local government is our common duty, and putting citizens at the center of joint efforts is the honor of anyone who is paid by their taxes!
