Bushati and Xhacka in flooded Sub-Shkodra areas

Today, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ditmir Bushati and Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka closely inspected the flooded areas in the district of Shkodra. They have looked closely at the situation in the Administration Units of Dajç, Ana e Malit, Shkodra Municipality and Jushi Mountain, and Vau i Dejës Municipality.

During the conversation with the residents, Minister Xhacka said that, in coordination with the Emergency Headquarters, the Prefecture and the Municipality we are doing their utmost to keep the situation under control. "So far we have evacuated about 2500 heads of livestock and are distributing fodder throughout the area.

It has not been easy, yesterday was particularly difficult, especially for those villages that have been isolated and due to the wind, operations have been more difficult, however, fortunately today we do not lack fodder. At this moment there are several tons being carried to the area and except for 90 tons of fodder that have been delivered during this this week we have ensured and another 300 tones, "-said Xhaçka.

She assured residents that all capacities are committed and will do their utmost to address this situation in the best possible way. "We will continue to be here to consider also the possibility of assessing damages and long-term solutions in order to avoid such situations in the future," -stressed the minister.

Meanwhile Minister Bushtati after assuring the residents for the support of the government thanked the AF for their excellent work. "We should thank the Armed Forces, because wherever we went we have heard the best words about the army. Together with the citizens they are our life-saving angels. We will continue to cooperate with civil emergency forces, with local government and with what we can. Today we have another help confirmed by Austria, and it will be available for Civil Emergencies ",- the minister said. MPs Paulin Sterkaj, Luan Harusha and Romeo Gurakuqi were together with ministers in the area.
