Xhaçka congratulates 256 new soldiers: The right choice, AF have government attention

121 new soldiers joined the Albanian Armed Forces, meanwhile 135 others successfully completed the 10-week training for advancement 256 new soldiers sworn and were certified after attending Basic and Advanced Exercises at the Troop School in Bunavi.

Present at the Ceremony of the Oath and Certification of new soldiers in Bunavi, Defence Minister Olta Xhaçka congratulated the newest members of the Albanian Armed Forces not only for the choice they made to join the Armed Forces but also for the will shown during the exercise. "I am pleased to read today in your eyes, courage, pride for all that you have achieved so far, and motivation for what you will bring to the country's large Armed Forces family. Today, you 256 boys and girls join the Albanian Army and I can proudly declare that you have made the right choice. I want to share with you the pride of the will expressed and gratitude for the choice you have made, "said Minister Xhaçka.

Further she mentioned the increased attention of the Albanian Government for the Albanian military as well as the opportunities that the Armed Forces provide for every young person.

"The Armed Forces today are at the special attention of our Government and our partners in NATO. Now you finished a course and will start a school that will provide you with opportunities for knowledge and choice. From now on, you will be able to be trained with the Alliance colleagues and to share experience in different parts of the world. Since today, you have the guarantee that you have chosen a safe career, with a variety of opportunities to reach the top that you aspire on this honorable mission. Each one of you will have the opportunity to get charge free lectures in foreign languages. Each of you will be able to be a good lecturer, a skilled trainer, a skilled commander, a successful diplomat, and why not a 3-star General. Today, I'm here to offer this secure contract to each of you. Now you have to fulfill this contract and making proud yourself, your family and above all the country. One thing is for sure; nothing will give you more honor, assurance and dignity than the military uniform, a uniform which today stands worthily alongside allies in NATO.", - the minister told the new soldiers and she also spoke of the difficulties and sacrifices they need to pass, serving the country and the community.

The Oath and Certification of the new soldiers was also attended by the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces Brigadier General Bardhyl Kollçaku, Commander of the Training and Doctrine Command Brigadier General Bajram Begaj, and family members of the soldiers.

The Individual Basic Exercise was successfully completed by 121 youngsters, among those 10 girls, while Individual Advanced Exercise was passed by 135 soldiers, out of which 5 girls.
