Earth Week, the Armed Forces joined the action for cleaning the country

Albanian Armed Forces joined the action undertaken by the Ministry of Tourism and the Environment for cleaning the territory under the motto "Keeping clean the land we love". Along with employees of prefectures, municipalities, various local and central institutions, businesses and youth, the Armed Forces have removed thousands of tons of waste from tourist areas, road axes, river beds and beaches.
From April 16 to April 22, which is also named as "Earth Week", the Armed Forces have engaged about 500 activists and 40 vehicles that have intervened at the most problematic spots. During the first three days of this action, effectives from all units of the Armed Forces have intervened in almost all counties of the country by "liberating" entire polluted areas.
In the district of Shkodra, the staff of the First Infantry Battalion in Vau i Dejës were engaged in the administrative units of Postribë and Ana e Malit, the shore of Shkodra Lake, the Buna River and Shkodër - Muriqan road axis.
In the district of Berat are engaged the effectives of the Third Infantry Battalion (3 Inf Bn) in Poshnje, who worked on the Osum River bed, in the territories of Fier, Lushnjë, Ura Vajgurore, Rrogozhinë, Divjakë beach and Shkumbini bridge.
The troops and vehicles of the Support Battalion of Land Forces were engaged in the territory of the municipalities of Kamza and Vora.
The Support Command worked at Brari Bridge in Tirana, Rallniku beach in Pustec, Pogradec Lake, Valbona Valley segment, Kordhocë Cultural Monument Bridge in Gjirokastra and Lake of Ulza and Shkopet.
The Naval Force was engaged in the bridge of Gjolë in Fushë-Krujë, while the Naval Flotilla of Pashaliman, at the Orik National Park.
The action taken by the Ministry of Tourism and the Environment started on April 16 and will continue until 22 April.
