Defence Minister Olta Xhaçka pays homage at the Martyrs of Homeland Cemetery

Today Defence Minister Olta Xhaçka participated in the ceremony in honor of Martyrs' Day and paid homage at the "Mother Albania" Memorial, at the Cemetery of the Martyrs of Homeland.

Honoring the fallen during the Anti - Fascist War, Minister Xhaçka, was accompanied by Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Brigadier General Bardhyl Kollçaku, and placed wreath at the "Mother Albania" Memorial.

There are 33 AAF effectives among the martyrs who lie in the Cemetery of Martyrs of Homeland, 32 out of them are pilots.

It is also the grave of the Martyr of Homeland, Feti Vogli, who fell in the line of duty during a mission in Afghanistan.
