NATO Summit, Prime Minister Rama meets US President Trump

On the second day of the NATO Summit in Brussels, Prime Minister Rama had a meeting with the US President Donald Trump.

The Defence Minister Olta Xhaçka, published on Facebook a photo of the two leaders shaking hands with one another: "At today's plenary session of the NATO Summit, President Trump particularly greeted the Prime Minister of Albania for his speech at the dinner of the Alliance leaders last night", - wrote Minister Xhaçka.

Albania has been among the first countries to respond positively to President Trump's strategy regarding Afghanistan by increasing 60% of its troops in the NATO Resolute Support Mission.

Moreover, Albania participates in all NATO operations and has begun to increase the Defence budget, a well-known request of President Trump.
