144 new recruits depart to Bunavi, Koçi: I’m convinced you will sacrifice yourselves to save citizens

144 new recruits departed to the Troop School in Bunavi, Vlora. At the official departure ceremony at the Personnel Recruitment Center, Deputy Defense Minister Petro Koçi told the new recruits that they would not be a common part of the Public Administration but they would join one of the structures that in every survey comes out as most beloved to the public and to the people.

"In most cases those in front of you who have joined the Armed Forces have faced Civil Emergencies as fires or floods. You too will do the same. I am convinced that you will sacrifice yourselves to save our citizens, or to save public and private property. I am convinced that the best of you, will be part of the international missions in Afghanistan, Kosovo, Bosnia, the Aegean Sea, or of other missions where the development of the international scene will bring and where the NATO Armed Forces have to be present to preserve peace and security, because you know that the risks are asymmetric today", - said Deputy Minister Koçi.


At the Personnel Recruitment Center applied 304 candidates, but, after the physical, intellectual and psychological tests, only 144 were declared winners, out of which 7 were female and 10 with higher education. Also in this ceremony were promoted to rank 3 officers were promoted to ‘Major’ rank and 3 others as NCOs.
