Albanian Lion 2018", brings together in Albania AF of four countries

For about three weeks, the Armed Forces of Albania, Britain, Kosovo and Croatia will use the largest Albanian military bases in the largest international training which will be held in our country.

About 1200 troops and tens of vehicles, land, air and sea will be involved in the exercise "Albanian Lion 2018", which will run until September 30. For the first time in this exercise, which takes place every year in our country, participates a contingent of the Kosovo Security Force.

Field preparation and movement of vehicles and troops began on 9 September, using the most important military bases of Albania, from the naval bases of Pali Cape, Pashaliman, Porto Palermo, the Karaburuni peninsula, Rinas and Farka air base, Zall-Herr garrison, and Biza's training region.

The purpose of this exercise is to achieve noncombatant evacuation operations by sea and air, including landing warships, helicopters and Special Forces for operations on the ground. The first training operations began in the naval base of Pali Cape where the Albanian commandos together with the British troops landed with amphibious vehicles and exercised various offensive actions.

The following training will continue in other military bases placed at the disposal of this exercise, involving troops from Kosovo and Croatian divers.

Meanwhile, according to tradition, will take place the Day of Distinguished Visitors of exercise "Albanian Lion 2018".

On Monday, September 24, at 11:00 am, troops and vehicles will land at the center of Tirana, where they will demonstrate some of the activities of this exercise, as well as displaying the tools, equipment and weaponry used.
