The Armed Forces the best team of "Tirana Marathon"

The Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania were dignitousely represented in the semi-marathon of Tirana by approximately 100 military personnel, who were also awarded as the best team of this marathon which was attended by more than 2500 competitors from Albania, Europe and Africa in races of 10 and 21km.

Part of the Armed Forces team was also the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Brigadier General Bardhyl Kollçaku who competed for 21km and Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces Brigadier General Manushaqe Shehu who competed in the 10km discipline.

In the team competition, FA received the medal as the best team of activity. This medal was handed over by the Municipality of Tirana. Albania's record-keeping, private second class Luiza Gega, who is part of the FA, won the 21km race for girls, while in the 10km race; the fourth place was reached by Major Bledar Mesi. The fifth place at 21 km was reached by Lieutenant Renato Dorzi.

The participation of the Armed Forces personnel at "Tirana Marathon" has become a tradition, marking a very dignified appearance, led by private second class Luiza Gega.
