Albanian Naval Forces ship "Lissus" participates in two operations for the migrant's rescue and prevention in the Aegean Sea

In the arch of few hours, the Albanian ship dictated a dingy with 33 people on board, which was embarking water and escorted another one with 40 people spotted by the Turkish Coast Guard.
According to the area of responsibility, the Albanian ship has kept under surveillance the first dingy, where the people on board were removing the water by means at hand. Also, the Albanian crew, consisting of divers and nurses, were in readiness state to evacuate and rescue the people with their rescue boat in case of emergency.
Within a few minutes, the 33 people on the boat, of whom 19 men, 6 women and 8 children of Syrian, Iraqi, Palestinian, and Kuwaiti origin, were transferred to the board of the ship "Frontex".
In a second operation, last night, the ship Lissus accompanied a boat with 40 people on board, which was spotted by the Turkish Coast Guard.
The Albanian ship kept the dingy under surveillance, up to the moment that the people were transferred on board, who were later sent for further operations at the port of Çeshme
