Special Forces celebrate the 20th Anniversary, Xhaçka: National Asset, it will be modernized

The Albanian Special Forces Battalion has never been more beautiful and festive than on the 20th Anniversary of its foundation, which turned into a celebration, attended by family members of this Battalion.
To celebrate the two decades of history and engagement of the elite unit of the Armed Forces of Albania was also present the Defence Minister Olta Xhaçka, who maximally bestowed the 20 -year contribution of the Special Forces.
“Over 20 years, our Special Forces have succeeded in enriching their resume with a wide geography and variety of engagements, operations, in high-risk locations, and to be the most elite troops of our Armed Forces. This unit is a national asset and these guys are the pride of our Armed Forces, the pride of our country, the pride of each of us. They are silent heroes about whom history speaks itself. Thanks to them, our flag waves proudly alongside the flags of our Allies, in the most difficult operations’ theatres, from distant Mosul to fearsome Kandahar.”- said Minister Xhaçka.
Mrs. Xhacka did not fail to mention the contribution of former members of this Battalion, who as she said: “Their dedication, professionalism and idealism serve as inspiration for generations to come".
Also, the Defence Minister praised the special and irreplaceable role of the families of special effects, whose sacrifices, according to her, served for a safer Albania.
In her speech, Minister Xhaçka did not fail to thank our Allies, US and Turkey for their professional and generous assistance in the preparation of our Special Forces.
Addressing to Special Forces, Minister Xhaçka pledged support, both in their treatment and modernization of the Battalion.
“Our Special Forces, this small force, but with an enormous mission, will have our attention and support to get the proper estimation for the work they perform.
Today's security is above all and these guys are here just as guardians of freedom and security of our country and as such should be treated as they deserve.
Also, we will continue to work to further modernize this force and remain at the height of the task.
You are really special and the country will always be grateful for what you have done and continue to do.” - said Minister Xhaçka, who also reminded the Martyr of the Homeland, Captain Feti Vogli, placing a bouquet of flowers at his statue.
Families, but especially the children of the members of the Special Forces battalion, became part of an entertainment program with animators and circus numbers.
On this occasion, the armaments, equipment and tools used by the Special Forces Battalion were exhibited, where children were also the largest attendants.
The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Brigadier General Bardhyl Kollcaku, Force Commanders, former Commanders of this Battalion, foreign military attaches in our country, as well as other guests participated in the 20th Anniversary of the Special Forces.
