The Albanian Naval Force ship "Lissus" rescued 84 people in two successive operations in the Aegean Sea

The Albanian Naval Force ship "Lissus" engaged in two different operation for rescuing and preventing immigrants in the Aegean Sea.
Yesterday evening, at 21:35, the Albanian Naval Force ship "Lissus" detected a boat with 39 immigrants on board, of which 31 of Palestinian nationality and eight of Syrian nationality.
In a second operation, this morning at 10:25, the Albanian Naval Force ship "Lissus" escorted another dinghy boat with 45 people on board, out of whom 31 were men, five women and nine children. Of them, 28 were of Afghan nationality, 10 Iraqis, 5 Syrians, 1 Egyptian, and 1 is still under identification process.
The Albanian crew, consisting of divers and nurses and equipped with dinghy shuttle stayed on alert for the evacuation of the people in case of an emergency. The Albanian ship "Lissus" kept the dinghy boat under control until the embarkation was finished.
