"Albanian Effort 19" completed, Xhacka: Such exercises build the power of the Alliance

"Albanian Effort 19" brought together around 800 effectives from Albania, the US, the United Kingdom, Turkey, Croatia, Poland, Italy, Germany, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia and Kosovo. In seven days, military representatives from 12 Allied and Partner Countries showed what is the source of power of the largest political and military Alliance in the world, part of which our country is a member for 10 years.

Defence Minister Olta Xhaçka in a video - message noted with pride that this is the first exercise where planning and logistical support was entirely carried out by the Albanian Armed Forces.
“Albania joined NATO only 10 years ago. The fact that just a decade later, our Armed Forces have become a modern, professional force capable of operating to NATO standards is an evidence to what makes the Alliance unique. The support and solidarity among the Allies is what makes NATO such a powerful force", - stressed the Defence Minister in her message.

As for the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Brigadier General Bardhyl Kollçaku, the Albanian troops are being trained along with those of the Alliance and partner countries in planning and conducting operations in response to crises and for a number of important elements.

The "Albanian Effort 19" exercise also served for the certification of 2nd Company "Komando" declared by our country in NATO as part of the Very High Readiness Joint Task Force (VJTF).
