Kuwait sends humanitarian aids for people affected by the earthquake of 21st of September

The State of Kuwait joined the other countries sending humanitarian aids to cope with situation created by the earthquake of 21st of September, which caused considerable wreck to Tirana and Durrës.

The Kuwaiti Embassy through Kuwaiti charitable foundations in our country delivered 2000 packages of 25 kg with food to the State Material Reserve warehouses.

At the handling of these packages, were present the Deputy Defense Minister Petro Koci, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Albania Fayez Mishari Al Jassim, the General Director of Civil Emergencies Haki Çako as well as the General Director of the State Material Reserves Paulin Luli.

Deputy Minister Koçi thanked on behalf of the Albanian Government the State of Kuwait praising the role of the Ambassador Al Jassim and his personal commitment after the earthquake of 21st of September.

“I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude on behalf of the Government and the Ministry of Defense to Kuwait. It is not the first time that It assist as in cases of natural disasters. A part of this humanitarian aids went directly to the respective municipalities of Tirana and Durrës. Today we are receiving another humanitarian aid, which will be delivered to the State Material Reserves and will be managed by our Civil Emergency to be distributed to people in need.”

On his part, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Albania, Fayez Mishari Al Jassim spoke about the contents of the packages and described these as preliminary assistances to the affected residents.

Previously, the Kuwaiti Embassy has also contributed to the Tirana, Durrës and Elbasan municipalities affected by the earthquake of 21st of September.
