Minister Xhacka gave the good news to the servicemen: from July 10.000 All additional food allowances

Starting from July, thousands of Albanian servicemen will have a monthly increase of 10,000 All in their salary, as compensation for food. The positive news was given by Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka during the meeting with the members of the Military Police contingent, that are departing for Afghanistan, where will serve in the NATO’s Resolute Support Mission.

"Any investment in weapons and systems would have been deficient if it had not been accompanied by an equally serious and sustained effort to invest in the human resources of the Armed Forces. I am happy to give you another good news today. It is a proposal of the Ministry of Defense, which has found the immediate support of the Government and of Prime Minister Rama, giving a dignified solution to a problem carried over for many years. The approval of 10,000 lek (100,000 old lek) in addition to the monthly salaries of the military personnel is not only a development with a significant positive impact on the family budgets of the military, but also a sign of appreciation for your extraordinary work during these years making the AAF the most trusted institution for Albanians.” - said Minister Xhaçka.

During her visit to the Military Police, Minister Xhaçka inspected the new facilities of disciplinary detention, funded by the Embassy of the United States of America in Tirana.

"The cooperation and support from the Allies, especially from the Americans and particularly over the last two years has been enormous. Thanks to this support we have managed to strengthen every element of the Armed Forces, from logistics and transport, to covering the territory with radars, weapons systems or the fleet of Black Hawk helicopters, which today gives us combat capabilities that we did not even imagine a few years ago. Of course, I cannot fail to mention the Kuçova Base, which is not just an extraordinary investment in terms of infrastructure, logistics and air capacity, but also an affirmation of the strategic importance of Albania for the Alliance", - said Minister Xhaçka.
