Minister Peleshi considered as extremely important the passage of the pipeline in our country, especially after the recent developments in Ukraine, and praised TAP for the support it has shown and shows for residents and local institutions in the territory where it operates. "Today we are expressing social responsibility, the community support that this project provides by donating 16 firefighting vehicles to municipalities where the TAP pipeline passes. Increasing fire protection capacity means greater security for the protection of this pipeline segment, but from our side it means increasing the capacities of our municipalities, prefectures, our communities for protection from natural disasters, where fires happen throughout the year." , - said Minister Peleshi, who again called on local government units to apply with projects to win the fund of 10 million USD of the Ministry of Defense, and announced another project for the modernization of Civil Emergencies System.
"We have given about 10 million Dollars to the municipalities this year, but it is important that the municipalities themselves reflect within themselves with increased capacities. Other projects are coming. 31 million Euros are expected to be activated by the Italian government that will increase the firefighting service, but not only."
TAP Managing Director Luca Schieppati underlined that the pipeline he manages has invested around 14 million Euros in social projects in the areas it passages.
This donation amounts to 2.1 million Euros and consists of 16 new vehicles, ancillary equipment and training of firefighting staff of the municipalities of Korça, Devoll, Maliq, Skrapar, Poliçan, Berat, Dimal, Roskovec, Lushnje and Fier.
