Deputy Defence Minister Blerina Abrazhda joins NATO meetings in Brussels focused on security challenges and support for Ukraine

Deputy Defence Minister Blerina Abrazhda took part in high-level meetings of NATO Defence Ministers, held in Brussels, where key discussions were focused on ongoing support for Ukraine and the pursuit of a sustainable ceasefire.

The meetings included the Coalition of the Willing Summit and the Ukraine Defence Contact Group, bringing together NATO Allies to coordinate efforts and strengthen defence commitments.
Also in attendance were NATO Secretary General Mr. Mark Rutte, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Ms. Kaja Kallas, and senior officials from across the Alliance.
In his address, Secretary General Rutte commended the contributions made by NATO members—particularly European Allies—in increasing military assistance for Ukraine in 2025. He called for continued dedication to NATO’s Comprehensive Assistance Package for Ukraine, emphasizing the importance of long-term support to help secure a fair and lasting peace.
As part of these collective efforts, Albania continues to stand in solidarity with Ukraine, reaffirming its Euro-Atlantic commitment to peace, stability, and security—both in the region and across the broader international landscape.
