The 15th SSDC is concluded, Vengu: Senior Security and Defense Course, part of our vision for a modern Armed Forces

Senior military personnel from Albania, Kosovo, Croatia, Georgia, Hungary, Italy, Turkey, as well as civilian professionals from various security institutions in the country, have successfully completed the Senior Security and Defense Course (SSDC) held at the Defense and Security College.
The conclusion ceremony and the awarding of diplomas to the participants were attended by Defense Minister Pirro Vengu, Chief of Staff of the Albanian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Arben Kingji, commanders of the Armed Forces, Ambassadors, Military Attachés, family members of the trainees, etc.
In his welcoming speech, the Defense Minister wished the graduates success and expressed his satisfaction that, year after year, this course not only expands the map of participants, but also becomes more practical thanks to study and training visits to prestigious national and international institutions: "I am particularly pleased that the Senior Security and Defense Course has not remained only inside the aulas. Study visits to important institutions at home and abroad have given the course a practical dimension and a holistic approach to the complex realities that security faces today."
Further, Minister Vengu underlined the government's priorities for a more modern, well-trained and well-disciplined Armed Forces: "The Defense and Security College is part of our broader vision for a modern, capable and integrated army. In the framework of the reform of military education and the restructuring of the Armed Forces, the Defense and Security College will be consolidated as the key institution of professional education at every level of the Armed Forces hierarchy. I take this opportunity to reiterate our commitment to deepening cooperation with international institutions, including the recent initiative to connect our College with the European Defense and Security College." - he stressed.
The SSDC aims to train military and civilian personnel at the strategic level in the Ministry of Defence, the Armed Forces and other national security institutions and similar institutions in other countries.
The programme of this course lasts for about 3 months, is taught in English and provides knowledge and analytical training on Defence and Security issues, at the national, regional and broader levels.
For the first time, a soldier of the Hungarian Armed Forces attended the 15th Higher Security and Defence Course, which also represents the highest level of the military career pyramid.
