Founding Agreement and Articles of Association of Fincantieri Albania signed in Genoa

Minister Nufi: “The partnership represents a major investment in the development of Albania’s maritime industry”

An important step towards strengthening the strategic cooperation between Albania and Italy was taken at Fincantieri’s Naval Vessels Division in Genoa, Italy, with the signing of the Deed of Incorporation and Articles of Association of “Fincantieri Albania.”

In a post shared on social media, the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Albania, Mr Ermal Nufi, stated:

“This partnership represents a major investment in the development of Albania’s maritime industry, the transfer of technology, the creation of new jobs and the expansion of domestic production capacity.”

Minister Nufi further noted:

“Albania continues to build lasting partnerships with international industry leaders, generating added value for the economy while contributing to stronger national security.”

Following the modernisation of the Pashaliman Naval Shipyard, “Fincantieri Albania” will be responsible for its management and will oversee the construction of vessels measuring up to 82 metres in length and with a displacement of up to 700 tonnes, intended for both domestic and international markets.
