The Minister of Defense, Mimi Kodheli took part in the opening ceremony of the new Office of Mobilization in Elbasan, which is part of the ongoing work for the establishment of such offices throughout the country.

In this event, Minister Kodheli was accompanied by Colonel Ardian Bali Commander of the Support Command and the reserve military people from this district who will manage this office.

In her address, Minister of Defense, Mrs. Mimi Kodheli praised the location of the new Office of Mobilization, which is expected to bring even closer cooperation between reserve and active servicemen. She said: "This location is an early military unit and in its premises, within this unit we have established the mobilization office of reserve military people, as we have done so far in every district center.”

Further on, Minister Kodheli spoke about the purpose of these offices, considering the experience of reserve military people still valuable: "We keep on saying that the need to have a database of accurate data for reservists, reserve and retired officers, arises from the need to have these active people nearby, to have their expertise, to have their knowledge, to have them near even physically at all times that Albanian citizens or the Armed Forces themselves need more people. Certainly, this will happen in civil emergencies, in cases of flooding, in cases of heavy snowing, whenever certain areas are blocked, in cases when the streets are blocked because of heavy conditions and it is necessary to open them and in cases when the Armed Forces need them for specific specialties and professions, which, to be frank, we are losing on our way ahead, "said Minister Kodheli, without forgetting to wish successes to the military personnel in reserve who will manage these offices.

Mobilization Office for Elbasan district opened in Mengel military unit, located in the immediate vicinity of the city.
In addition to the mobilization of emergency servicemen, this office and all the others opened all over the country will serve as information offices for young people who are willing to become part of the Armed Forces.
