The first "brigadier general" doctor is decreed in the Armed Forces

President of the Republic of Albania and at the same time, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Ilir Meta, on the proposal of the Minister of Defense, Mimi Kodheli has signed the decree for assigning the rank "Brigadier General" to Colonel Bajram Begaj, who is Deputy Director (military) of Trauma University Hospital.
It is the first time in the history of the Albanian Armed Forces that a military doctor receives the rank "Brigadier General".
Brigadier General Bajram Begaj has completed his studies for General Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine in Tirana.
During his military career he has performed:
Deepened Postgraduate School, WFD, Faculty of Medicine, Tirana;
Specialization in Gastroenterohepatology, Faculty of Medicine, Tirana;
3 Months Specialization in Greece;
3 Months specialization in Greece;
Studies in the US;
Studies in US, Strategic Medical Leadership Course
Brigadier General Bajram Begaj has performed various tasks such as:
Brigade Chief of Health, Division 5650 Tropoja, Ministry of Defense,
Chief of Health in Security Battalion, Tirana,
Gastroenterohepatologist, Military Hospital,
Head of Ambulatory Service, Military Hospital, Deputy Director, Military Hospital,
Part-time lecturer, faculty of Medicine, gastro-hepatology,
Director of the Central University Military Hospital, gastro-hepatologist, SUQU,
Deputy Director University Hospital "Mother Teresa" Ministry of Health,
