General Staff of Albanian Armed Forces informs the public opinion regarding the current progress of the work being done in resolving the tragic accident of the helicopter EC 145. Experts of the Eurocopter Company as well as American military experts specialized in this type of helicopter, convened by the Ministry of Defence in order to give their assistance in solving this incident, have assisted the investigative group headed by the Prosecution in order to draw the recording camera.

Today at 06:26 a.m. during a patrol afloat, Vessel P-02 found an abandoned blue speedboat 4 miles north of Sazan Island without any lettering. After inspecting the area to see if there are any drowned, was notified the border police and the vehicle was towed to Sazan. The vehicle was handed over to border police by a record. Marine Forces continue patrolling this area.

According to the international agreements, in which Albania is a party, the neighboring NATO member countries conduct the air policing of the territory of the Republic of Albania.

The Albanian Government is determined to continue the fight against organized crime and narcotics removing Albania from black list where the previous government had introduced it. Assaulting the Armed Forces for offering logistic support to the State Police and to the Ministry of Interior in these operations means an assault to the State, protecting crime and drug trafficking. As for the Prosecution, we invite it to deepen its investigation in all cases where means or even worse, Commando and Special Forces of the Armed Forces are improperly used for gold research or protection of private businesses, such as the Wrestling Championship, without mentioning here the transportation of singers.
