Minister Kodheli receives members from the Royal College of Defence Studies in United Kingdom

The Defence Minister Mrs. Mimi Kodheli received the teaching staff members and students of the Royal College of Defence Studies in the United Kingdom, who are paying a visit lasting a few days in our country.

Minister Kodheli welcomed the attendees to our country.

Their visit to our country is part of the curriculum of this college, and in this regard, Minister Kodheli shared with them her views on international security issues and the role of Albania in terms of these challenges.

Minister Kodheli opened her speech with the decisions taken by the NATO Summit held this week in Brussels, emphasizing the Alliance's participation in the international coalition against ISIS, and the fairer division of responsibilities among member states.

Minister Kodheli at NATO Summit in Brussels

The Albanian delegation headed by the Prime Minister, Edi Rama, having in its composition also the Minister of Defense, Mrs. Mimi Kodheli, and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ditmir Bushati, attended the Summit of NATO member countries, which was held in Brussels.

During the proceedings of this summit, which took place at NATO's new Headquarters, the leaders of the Alliance made important decisions on the fight against terrorism, and a fairer division of responsibilities among member states.

Armed Forces in support of rural infrastructure in Pogradec

Albanian Armed Forces are constructing Osnat village road of Dardhas Administrative Unit, in the Municipality of Pogradec. It’s now several days that Military personnel and heavy vehicles of the Engineering Battalion of Support Command are working to build this road segment around 8.8 km long.

Specifically, the heavy vehicles of the Engineering Battalion are engaged in digging out the soils, drainage and arrangement of this segment.

Construction of this road, a request by the local government, is expected to significantly facilitate the movement of the inhabitants of this area, enabling a better communication with the cities of Pogradec, Prrenjas and Gramsh.

The Drenas Commune, in Kosovo declares Mimi Kodheli an “Honorary Citizen”

Today Defense Minister Mimi Kodheli received the “Honorary Citizen” of Drenas Commune. The Decree of the Declaration of the Honor Citizen of the commune and the motivation was read by the head of Assembly Naim Bazaj, in which was written: "The honorable lady Mrs. Mimi Kodheli is declared Honorary Citizen of the commune for her precious contribution, unsparing support for liberation of Kosovo and putting the interests of Kosovo high on the Euro-Atlantic integration agendas. She affirmed with her incomparable commitment that the Albanian woman worthily promoted and exalted national values".
