Promotion of the book “Tirana, prefektët dhe nënprefektët e saj, 1912 - 2017”

Today at the premises of Tirana International Hotel the authors Gazmend Bakiu and Kastriot Dervishi promoted their book “Tirana, prefektët dhe nënprefektët e saj, 1912 - 2017” (Tirana, its prefects and deputy prefects, 1912 - 2017).

Minister of Defence Mrs. Mimi Kodheli, Tirana Prefect Mr. Sadi Vorpsi, members of Parliament, former prefects and many other guests participated in this event. Minister of Defence, Mrs. Mimi Kodheli said that she felt very privileged to be present at this event which also coincides with the 105th Anniversary of the establishment of Tirana Prefect Office. She also mentioned her memories from the period she was the Perfect of Tirana district, and emphasized the fact that Tirana has not been resided only by native citizens, but also by citizens from all parts of Albania.

New recruits of the Armed Forces leave for Bunavi

On the occasion of the leaving the new recruits of the Armed Forces for Troops School in Bunavi, an official ceremony was organized in the premises of the Museum of the Armed Forces.
The Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania, Brigadier General Dedë Prenga, senior officers of the General Staff and family members of the recruits were present in the ceremony.

Minister Kodheli pays an official visit in Austria

Defence Minister Mrs. Kodheli paid an official visit in Austria at the invitation of Federal Minister of Defence and Sports of Austria, Mr. Hans Peter Doskozil.

Minister Kodheli was pleased to visit in Vienna and expressed her gratitude for the support that Austria has historically provided to our country since the declaration of independence u, to the European integration process.

The focus of the meeting between the two ministers was cooperation in the field of defence, to this end they signed Bilateral Cooperation Plan in the field of defence between Albania and Austria for 2017, which foresees the strengthening of bilateral cooperation in training and education.

Sazan Island opens for tourists during summer season

Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Economic Development, Tourism, Trade and Enterprise signed today a cooperation agreement which allows tourists to visit Sazan Island. Defense Minister Mrs. Mimi Kodheli and Minister of Economic Development, Tourism, Trade and Enterprise Mrs. Milva Ekonomi signed the agreement which aims to develop tourism and its promotion.

Skanderbeg’s headpiece placed at the garrison with the same name

On the 8th Anniversary of Albania’s Membership in NATO, the sculpture of the headpiece of our National Hero, Gjergj Kastriot Skanderbeg, a work of art by sculptor Dhionis Dukoli, was placed in one of the gardens of “Skanderbeg” Garrison. Defence Minister, Mrs. Mimi Kodheli, Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces Brigadier General Dedë Prenga, the sculptor, Dhionis Dukoli, and military and civilians who work in this garrison were present in this event.
