New recruitments in AAF, Xhaçka: We will improve the facilities for the military personnel

50 young people, among them 15 girls, today joined the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania. Candidates for officers will be part of the Troop School in Bunavi where for months 180 recruits will be engaged in the Individual Exercise of the Basic Training in the New Officer Training Course. After finishing the courses they will serve in different structures of the Armed Forces.

At their seeing off ceremony, Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka, accompanied by Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Bardhyl Kollçaku emphasized that all kinds of facilities that concerns military personnel in the entire Armed Forces will be further improved in the years to come.

Minister Xhaçka in Bestrovë e Vogël: Citizens complaints are our main concern

We cannot remain silent about the problems that the inhabitants have in Bestrovë e Vogël a village a few kilometers away from Vlora. Damaged road, lack of drinking water or the expropriation are issues that concern the families of this village. Many of them have written on the portal dedicated to citizens’ complaints in the framework of the co-governance platform.

During the visit in Trifon Çipa’s family, the Minister of Defense, Mrs. Olta Xhaçka, met with some of the residents from this village.

"Imposition 17" Exercise to protect maritime environment and legislation

The achievement of standards in the Naval Force to enforce the legality in the maritime environment continues to be a priority for the Albanian Armed Forces. This was also one of the goals of the “Imposition 17” Exercise that was conducted in the Bay of Vlora.

“Imposition 17” Exercise is one of the main exercises for the Naval Force, Air Force and Special Forces, that participate in this exercise as well, because these forces interact with each other in different operations.

Training Programme on Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) takes place in Albania

The Training Programme on Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP TP SAP 2017), took place in Tirana with the participation of representatives from Western Balkan countries and European Union member states.
This program is organized by the European Security and Defence College with the support of the Ministries of Defence of Austria, Hungary and Albania, as well as the Technical Assistance and Information Exchange (TAIEX), an instrument of the European Commission.
