Current Commitment
During 2015, AAF engagement in international operations and missions, NRF, within the framework of the "Security Measures" and the "Readiness Action Plan" of the Alliance, foresees a total of 286 military personnel (not counting mission rotations).
During 2016, AAF engagement in international operations and missions, NRF, within the "Security Measures" and the "Readiness Action Plan" of the Alliance was 413 military personnel (not counting mission rotations every 6 months).
During 2017, AAF engagement in international operations and missions, NRF, within the "Security Measures" and the "Readiness Action Plan" of the Alliance is expected to be 619 military personnel.
During 2018, in addition to the current contributions, the Defence Minister has approved the increase of the AAF contribution with 52 military personnel in the "RSM" operation in Afghanistan and 3 military personnel in NATO's Advanced Enhanced Presence (eFP) in Latvia
November 2019, the level of engagement in international operations and missions is as follows: in "RSM", Afghanistan continues the contribution of AAF with 132 military personnel; in KFOR, Kosovo, the contribution of AAF continues with 29 military personnel; "ALTHEA", continues the contribution of FARSH with 1 soldier; "EUTM Mali", the contribution of AAF continues with 4 military personnel; "Aegean Sea" in the Aegean Sea continues to contribute with 22 military personnel; within the enhanced Forward Presence (eFP), Riga, Latvia, the contribution of AAF continues with 21 military personnel; in the UNMISS military operation within the UN, the contribution of AAF continues with 2 military personnel (increased contribution during 2019).
