Recruitment campaign for soldiers / seaman starts from Elbasan, Peleshi invites young men and women to join: We have increased the dignity of the Armed Forces

The process of recruiting soldiers/seaman in the Armed Forces starts from Elbasan. Part of this activity was also the Defence Minister Niko Peleshi, the Chief of General Staff Major General Bajram Begaj, the Mayor of Elbasan and district deputies.

During his speech, Minister Niko Peleshi described this campaign as extremely important.
"Today, we look into the eyes of all the young men and women to whom we extend the invitation to become part of the AF, because we have managed to give a dignified direction starting from the salary. As you know we have a 30% increase, which means an increase from the first soldier to the general; a 30% salary increase which means: the one who is recruited in the army today receives a salary of more than 50 thousand new lek, from the first moment and then, it is not just that: first to be a contributor to the Armed Forces means to be part of that band of Albanian citizens, who are today the most quoted in public opinion according to all polls and questionnaires, the institution where citizens trust the most are the AF ", - emphasized Minister Peleshi.

He further added that the Armed Forces have had a dignified presentation on NATO missions for more than 20 years in countries such as Afghanistan, Iraq, Kosovo, Bosnia, Africa or Latvia.

"The Armed Forces is our pride and today, through this event that we are starting in Elbasan and we will go all over Albania, we want to bring closer to the public what the Armed Forces are, the opportunities they offer and above all the pride and honour to serve in it", - said the Defence Minister.

By inviting boys and girls to become part of the Armed Forces through this recruitment process, Minister Peleshi said that they have the opportunity to rise in their careers and benefit from trainings at home and abroad.

"For boys and girls, who depend on their education and desire to advance in their careers, it is not just a matter of serving until the end of their career as a soldier, but they have the opportunity to rise as First Soldier, Second Soldier, Third Soldier, Fourth Soldier and then, if they have a high school degree is the next career line, or those who have a university degree and want to take advantages of officer courses, numerous courses at home and abroad, US or other NATO allies, have the opportunity to reach even the highest ranks. To this day, I would say, the system has the most dignified reward not only in terms of pay, but also in moral terms.", - said Mr. Peleshi.

The recruitment campaign has started in Tirana and will continue until January 20, 2022. There are about 400 vacancies at the Armed Forces for active soldiers and seaman. The process is open to all young men and women from 18 to 27 years old which have a secondary school, high school or university degree.
