“Albanian castles and fortresses” exhibition

In the framework of activities on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the liberation of homeland, in the lobby of the auditor of the Defence Ministry, the exhibition with the theme: “Albanian castles and fortresses” from the painter Leka Rudha was opend. The opening of this exhibition was initiated by the Centre of Culture, Media, Publication, Museum and Holiday Houses of the Armed Forces. The paintings presented at this exhibition include the most characteristic and popular landscapes in the country. They also include the bunkers of socialism.

The castles and fortresses are part of the history of each nation. They stand decorously, as hard evidence of the efforts and struggles for survival, and with their greatness they inspire admiration for every visitor today. Each of them has a story of courage and immortality of the previous generations, hiding secrets, and making them more intriguing. These monuments are the theme of this exhibition performed by an impressive artistic perspective by the painter Leka Rudha.

The exhibition remained open throughout yesterday afternoon and was visited by directors at the Ministry of Defence and the General Staff of the Armed Forces, as well as many militaries and civilian employees of the garrison “Skenderbej”.
Leka Rudha, is a well-known painter; has the title “Master of décor and portrait”. He has showed his paintings in 14 group expositions, 3 of them organized by the Italian Embassy. He has also staged several individual expositions in Greece, Germany etc.
