Deputy Defence Minister participates in NATO Youth Summit 2025

NATO Deputy Secretary General Radmila Shekerinska welcomed young people from across the Alliance to the NATO Youth Summit held in Budva.
In her speech, Deputy Defence Minister Abrazhda emphasized the importance of security in the Western Balkans and the critical role young people play in building a safer future. She highlighted that security is not simply the absence of conflict and cannot be delegated, it requires active investment in Defence and strong, resilient institutions. Abrazhda also expressed her appreciation to NATO for creating a platform where the voices of young people are placed at the center of shaping the security landscape of tomorrow.
The NATO Youth Summit 2025, organized in cooperation with the Atlantic Council of Montenegro, brought together young leaders from NATO member and partner countries to discuss key global security challenges, including NATO’s role in safeguarding peace, the impact of emerging technologies, and threats to information integrity.
