U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Nancy VanHorn observes “Eagle Strike 2025” Exercise in Rreth-Greth

U.S.Chargé d’Affaire in Tirana, Ms. Nancy VanHorn, visited the Rreth-Greth training area where the joint military exercise “Eagle Strike 2025” is currently taking place.

She was accompanied by Brigadier General Altin Kurti, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Albanian Armed Forces, and Brigadier General Bardhyl Nuredinaj, Commander of the Armed Forces Academy.

During the visit, the delegation observed a live demonstration featuring key elements of the exercise, including field scenarios and tactical operations, offering a hands-on look at the collaborative training efforts.

Now in its fifth edition, “Eagle Strike 2025” brings together students from the U.S. National Guard, the Kosovo Security Force (KSF), and cadets from the Faculty of Defence and Security at the Albanian Armed Forces Academy.

The aim of the exercise is to strengthen field coordination, enhance interoperability between allied forces, and improve the operational skills of participating students—while reinforcing the close strategic partnership among the U.S., Albania, and Kosovo.
