The earthquake of 21st of September, humanitarian aid arrives from Turkey. Koçi: Together on difficult days

 

Turkey, assisted Albania with humanitarian aids worth of 350,000 Eur, following the earthquake of 21st of September. The trucks with materials arrived at the State Material Reserves Directorate. There were attended by Turkish Ambassador to Albania, His Excellency, Mr. Murat Ahmet Yörük, Defense Deputy Minister Petro Koçi, the Director of Civil Emergency Department Haki Çako.

“The aid from Turkish people, which is more than a friend to us is very much appreciated. Of course, together with Turkey, we respond to many global security and peace challenges. We have been together in Afghanistan, on many international missions, together in the Aegean Sea to prevent illegal immigration. But this moment of cooperation in an emergency situation is even more heartfelt”, - said Defense Deputy Minister.

Turkey's Ambassador conveyed President Erdoğan's solidarity messages to Albania, recalling a meeting with the Prime Minister Edi Rama in New York. “As a country that has experienced earthquake, and has had also casualties, we understand very well the situation of our Albanian brothers. We hope that our help is important in this situation. We have always been with you in difficult days and we will continue to stay" - the Turkish Ambassador said.

With the activation of the Civil Protection Mechanism by the European Union, Albania has recently received numerous humanitarian aids from various European countries, while state structures have been maximally committed in the reconstruction of damaged dwellings.
