Minister Xhaçka holds bilateral meetings with Adriatic Charter countries, appreciations on Initiative Chairmanship

In the framework of hosting the US Adriatic Charter Ministerial in our country, a part of time was dedicated to bilateral meetings between the participating countries.
The Defence Minister Olta Xhaçka, held bilateral meetings with the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Russian, Ukrainian, and Eurasian affairs Ms. Laura Cooper. The main themes of the meeting were related to the invaluable help and support that the USA gives to our country and not only.
Mrs. Cooper praised Albania's role and contribution to NATO, its impressive commitment to promote peace and security in the world, and its role in the region. Mrs. Cooper also praised our chairmanship of A-5 Defence Ministerial for 2019 and stressed that the initiative of possible deployment in Iraq are the one that helps the A-5 Charter to remain important.
Minister Xhaçka also had a special meeting with the Defence Minister of Kosovo, Mr. Rustem Berisha. Minister Xhaçka thanked her counterpart from Kosovo for the immediate assistance provided by their country after the 26th November earthquake, as she underlined that the cooperation between the two countries is increasing qualitatively every year. Minister Xhaçka also, emphasized that Albania will always be an advocate of Kosovo in any forum.
Minister Xhaçka had another bilateral meeting with the Defence Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ms. Marina Pendes. The two Ministers praised the good relations and agreed that bilateral co-operation in the field of Defence would be intensified in the future.
Currently, Albania and Bosnia and Herzegovina have good cooperation within initiatives such as the A-5, where our country remains ready to share its experience with Bosnia after they taking over the chairmanship of A-5.
