Measures against COVID-19, Xhaçka inspects the work of AAF in the terrain

 

Armed Forces personnel have been deployed these days across the whole country to ensure the implementation of government measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. In order to inspect the work of the military, Defence Minister Olta Xhaçka, was introduced to problems that the Armed Forces have encountered in areas of the Capital.

The Minister encouraged the Armed Forces for the ongoing work, expressing her gratitude to those who in these days have left their families to protect the lives of thousands of Albanian citizens. 

The Armed Forces are monitoring the situation from early morning until late in the evening. The Second Infantry Battalion and the Military Police are deployed on the ground, assisting the State Police in preventing the movement of vehicles and civilians beyond prescribed schedules.

The Navy is assisting in Durres, while in other cities, the Regional Support Detachments monitors and guarantees the implementation of discipline. These days, the Armed Forces have been engaged throughout Albania, even in humanitarian operations distributing aid to those families with retired heads of households and those who are economically disadvantaged.
