Xhaçka and Veliaj inspect the marketplaces in Tirana. Punishment against transgressors, we must preserve what we achieved

Defence Minister Olta Xhaçka and the Mayor of Tirana Erion Veliaj, a few days after the new measures on the marketplaces were imposed, inspected the fruit and vegetable marketplaces in Kombinat and elsewhere in Tirana.

In all inspected marketplaces did notice the awareness of the citizens on social distancing and standing in a queue, according to the established parameters.

While expressing gratitude for over a thousand effective involved directly in the first line in food package distribution, and in 70 checkpoints and marketplaces, Defence Minister said: "The measures so far taken, have had an extremely good result, a fantastic result, but this should not make us lose focus. I think that the punishment of all of them who do not respect the rules should be going on, and depending on the violation, it might be administrative measures or fines, or even imprisonment, because it is very important in order to continue to preserve what we have achieved so far in the daily activity of the citizens of Tirana in particular, but also of the whole of Albania.”

Defence Minister and the Mayor of Tirana urged the citizens to respect the measures, while confirmed their support for the members of the Armed Forces, State Police and Municipal Police.
