The humanitarian operation in helping families in need and pensioners has not prevented the Armed Forces from serving the community even in other ways.
Engineers of the Armed Forces are engaged in the construction of the Bailey bridge in Pajun village in the administrative unit of Papër.
Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka accompanied by the District Deputy Taulant Balla and Mayor Gledian Llatja inspected the beginning of the work on the construction of the bridge.
“Today, thanks to the contribution of men and women in uniform and in cooperation with the local government will begin the construction of the bridge. This will help 1 thousand inhabitants of the area, especially children, to facilitate their movement towards school, the land should be worked on as the main source of livelihood in such rural areas or towards Elbasan to trade their products. There is no better investment in these difficult times than the one for the family, so the priority in our large military family is to help Albanian families for the missing needs or limited opportunities to improve their daily lives.” - said Minister Xhaçka.
Mayor of Elbasan, Gledjan Llatja and MP Balla praised the concrete assistance the residents of this area have given to public works in their unit, as well as the cooperation with the community in selecting the staff engaged in cases of civil emergencies.
Bridge over the creek in Pajun village will be 45 meters long and is estimated to serve to about 1000 inhabitants of the Papër administrative unit.
