The project on renovation of the special structure for eliminating hazardous materials is launched

Defence Minister Olta Xhaçka and the US Ambassador in Tirana, Yuri Kim inspected the work done for the renovation of the special structure for the elimination of hazardous materials in the Engineer Battalion at Support Command, a cooperation with the United States Department of Defence.

The US Ambassador praised the contribution that Albania has given through its Armed Forces in various missions within NATO.

While, the Defence Minister, Olta Xhaçka, underlined the fact that the USA, as a strategic ally, continues to stand side by side to Albania for the modernization of the Armed Forces for more security and professionalism in the field of Defence.

The project foresees the renovation of the Security Battalion in Tirana, as well as in the ammunition depots in Miraka, Elbasan.
