Brigadier General Arben Kingji, new Commander of the Land Force

From today Land Force has a new commander. Brigadier General Arben Kingji was introduced in a special ceremony by Defence Minister Olta Xhaçka and the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Bajram Begaj.

Minister Xhaçka considered the change of the Commander of the largest component of our Armed Forces as a very important moment. She evaluated Brigadier General Kingji for his skills and experience. "I have no doubt that today the relay of the Land Force Command passes in safe hands; to a man who will know how to lead forward and develop further what we have managed to build so far. The relay of the leadership of the Land Force today passes to a military man of a high caliber such as General Kingji, from another military man with values and many achievements, such as General Mullai "- said Minister Xhaçka.

Further on, Minister Xhaçka emphasized the newly established meritocracy system in the Armed Forces, not forgetting the improvement of the financial treatment of the military and the modernization of structures with tools, equipment and armaments.

"The assignment of the new commander is a clear signal of the philosophy on which the Armed Forces operate today, away from friends, politics and tariffs, but simply on the basis of meritocracy. We still have a lot of work to do, but we can all feel good about what we have achieved in the meantime, starting from the increase of the financial treatment for hard work, or reimbursement of food compensation, completion with standardized individual equipment of the soldier, or NATO Certification of the Infantry Battalion Group and Second Commando Battalion Company. Such Developments have come in the context of a series of good work and developments that have affected every component of the Armed Forces|”.

Brigadier General Arben Kingji replaces Brigadier General Albert Mullai, who has served in this position since February last year.
