"This is a war where NATO can certainly help, but NATO can not win this war for us. This is a war we can and should win here in our home. Making some sacrifices and enduring some measures that are the only weapons we have today against COVID - 19. Such as masks or the need for social distancing, or the need to accept that we have to live temporarily with this invisible enemy among us. But above all it is a war that it is won by showing solidarity with each other." , - said thw Defence Minister.
During the speech, while praising NATO assistance, Prime Minister Rama said: “60 respirators to cope with this Winter, which will be difficult according to experts, are meaningful not only in terms of gesture, but also in terms of concrete help in strengthening the system. From today, these respirators will also be on the line of fire to protect and save lives."
The Prime Minister also praised the role of the Armed Forces, noting their transformation.
On her part, the Minister of Health and Social Protection, Ogerta Manastirliu said that with the help of the allies, the respirators have been doubled, while the plan for facing the autumn-winter season is ready.
The 60 respirators follow the continuous donations that NATO has made to our country in products such as gloves, disinfectant solution, etc. within COVID, but also through civil emergency experts from over 20 member countries, during the days of the November 26 earthquake.
