Academy of Sciences donates 220 titles to the Academy of the Armed Forces, Xhaçka: Knowledge, the biggest investment in the Armed Forces

The library of the Armed Forces Academy is enriched on the eve of the new academic year, which after a 10-year break will welcome the cadets to attend the bachelor cycle in military sciences.

The Academy of Sciences donated 220 titles and about 600 copies of books, which are added to the fund of 8 thousand titles of the Library of the Academy of the Armed Forces.

Defense Mnister Olta Xhaçka thanked the Academy of Sciences and its President for this contribution on the eve of the new academic year. According to her, the pandemic and the difficult times we are living in should not be an obstacle to orientate more and more the younger generation and the FA officers towards the book and knowledge.

“There is no more important investment than investing in knowledge, no matter how good the equipment is, or how big our budgets are. "If we do not have a well-educated, well-trained and professional force to face today's challenges, we will not be able to be an allied country with all the capacities," said Minister Xhaçka.

The President of the Academy of Sciences, Professor Skënder Gjinushi said that the institution he leads has in its policy to donate its publications and expressed the special satisfaction that this contribution is given, as he said, to such a prestigious institution as the Academy of the Armed Forces.

The donated titles are publications of the Academy of Sciences and will help in the professional and cultural formation of the new military personnel.

Most of the donated titles deal with historical topics about our people and the Albanian language.
