108 years of AAF, Xhaçka: Proud that Albanians value it as the most reliable institution

Nowadays for the Albanian citizens the Albanian Armed Forces are valued as the most reliable institution. On the 108th Anniversary of the Establishment, Defense Minister Olta Xhaçka expresses her pride for its changes and achievements.

"In 108 years, the Albanian Armed Forces have had a history full of drama and success, pain and joy, ups and downs. A story that intertwines and becomes one with the history of Albania and Albanians. Today I feel proud that the Albanian Armed Forces are valued as the most reliable and respected institution by Albanians, just as I feel proud when our partners and allies evaluate the performance of our men and women in uniform and the great progress that the AAF have reached", writes Minister Xhaçka, on the social network Facebook.

"There is still a lot of work to be done, but it is a fact that the AAF today is a more modern, more professional force, with soldiers who are educated and trained in the same way as their NATO counterparts, today much better equipped and being treated financially".

The Defense Minister expresses her gratitude to anyone who contributed to the Armed Forces. "Gratitude and pride for those men and women, who with their work are really turning the Armed Forces into a force of NATO standards", says Xhaçka.
